FAQ

Do I need an official diagnosis to work with you

No, you do not need to have a diagnosis as a requirement.

While an official diagnosis is always encouraged, attaining a diagnosis can be highly cost-prohibitive and inaccessible for many people. This can also lead to gate keeping where many undiagnosed autistic and ADHD individuals who are genuinely struggling are dismissed and ignored.

I believe it is unfair to dismiss self-diagnosis in this area, and that self-identifying as being neurodivergent is not something people take lightly, especially if they have felt a strong affinity with being neurodivergent and have explored this topic in some depth.

While there are often online accusations of autism and ADHD being a trend, what I believe we are seeing is growing awareness of how prevalent rates of undiagnosised neurodivergence have been.

Can you perform a diagnosis for autism or ADHD

Unfortunately I am not able to provide an official diagnosis, but I may be able to help you explore the idea of being neurodivergent for yourself and any issues or concerns you may have.

Where do you conduct appointments

All counselling sessions are online via telehealth, you’ll receive a link before your scheduled time.
